The Quiet Art of Getting a Yes
Selling is uncomfortable for a lot of creatives.
Rarely because we're lacking social skills or confidence. It's often because we’ve been taught to sell like someone we’re not.
Push harder. Follow up “relentlessly.” Use urgency. Build objection trees (yes, they are a thing).
For those of us with a more thoughtful approach, who prefer to listen more than we speak, this kind of advice feels off-brand. Like putting on a mask just to close the deal.
And whether you call yourself an introvert, an ambivert (new word alert!), or resonate with Chris Do’s take as a loud introvert, the truth still holds:
Selling only gets easier when it starts to feel true.
That's why we don’t teach high-pressure tactics. I prefer "Authentic Selling" instead. Clear, human, and effective.
It’s about real conversations. Qualifying well. Knowing when to follow up, and when to let go.
And doing it all in a way that lines up with your voice and values.
(Why would you do it any other way?!)
Now, it doesn’t mean you don’t have to market yourself. And you still have to ask for the sale (sorry, not sorry)
It just means you don’t have to shape-shift to do it.
If you’ve ever thought, “I could sell, I just don’t want to do it like that,” you’re not alone. And you’re in very good company here. There’s a more rewarding way.
Now, since we’re talking about authentic selling…
I'm going to sell to you.
If you’ve been lurking here a while, unsure, or just a little allergic to commitment…
This might help.
The Crew is built for creatives like you. Quiet experts, "introvert-adjacent" founders, people who want to grow a business without selling like someone they’re not.
And sometimes the only way to know if a space is right for you… is to walk through the door.
So let's make it easy:
👉 Why not join The Crew for a trial?
Walk straight in.
Explore the Toolkit of playbooks, scripts and videos.
Join an "Ask Me Anything" mentoring session.
Post a question (I’ll answer it directly).
See how it feels.
If it’s not the community you’re looking for?
No hard feelings. Just jump out.
But if it clicks, like it has for the others?
You’ll wonder why you didn’t walk in sooner.
See you in there?
